Parquet and Engineered Flooring

01. About the Service

Parquet and engineered flooring installation is work with natural wood flooring where the condition of the subfloor, moisture level, and the correct adaptation of the flooring to the room are especially important. Before laying the floor, we assess whether the base is level, stable, and properly prepared for wood flooring, as this determines how the floor will perform and helps prevent unnecessary gaps, movement, or other issues during use.

During installation, it is not enough to simply lay parquet or engineered boards. The joints, transitions to other floor coverings, door openings, and edges along the walls must also be finished correctly. These details are often the most visible in the final result, so we carry out this service with the aim of creating wood flooring that looks seamless, remains stable, and is ready for long-term use.

02. Parquet or Engineered Flooring?

Parquet is usually laid from smaller wood elements, which makes it suitable for more precise patterns such as herringbone, chevron, or mosaic. Engineered wood flooring comes in larger boards, creating a calmer and more seamless floor appearance, often chosen when the goal is to achieve a natural wood surface without a detailed pattern. In both cases, the result depends not only on the flooring itself, but also on how it is positioned within the room — considering the direction of light, wall lines, door openings, and the overall logic of the interior.

03. Installation Methods

In parquet and engineered flooring installation, the laying pattern is not only an aesthetic choice. The chosen laying method affects how the room feels visually — whether it appears calmer, more dynamic, wider, longer, more classic, or more modern. Before installation, it is important to consider the board format, room proportions, main viewing directions, and the areas where the pattern will need to align with walls, door openings, or other floor coverings.

Straight Planks

A calm and versatile laying method where the board direction, consistency of rows, and natural distribution of the wood grain matter most.
